This past year, I’ve been doing some soul searching and am starting to realize that everyday, what I thought was just something that I could do well is actually a talent. Writing is something that I have always been good at and I just took advantage of that because it comes pretty naturally. I should have known when in school, I couldn’t relate to my peers whom had trouble with the writing classes. I pretty much went by those classes, but because I got an “A” without breaking a sweat, I overlooked it.
I think that so many people do that. Because they’re naturally good at something, they go on and try to make something out of what they’re not made to do because they think it has to be hard work. It took 2 featured submissions to “romanticplaces.tumblr.com” to pretty much wake me up and say “HEY dummy, become a writer!” Not ignoring the fact that I am into stationery and pens just as much as I was as a child.
My problem with this however is that sometimes, I just don’t have anything to write about! As frustrating as this is, I’m trying to find a way to make a career out of my writing.
So, thanks romanticplaces for pointing me in the “write” direction. Lol. (so corny, but I had to do it)
