Memorial Day

I know this is early to call your day over, but it is so over. I’ve been up since 6 this morning, but I didn’t get to sleep until about 4:30 this morning. I have no idea why, but I just wasn’t sleepy. Then, I had to be at work today from 7:45 until 3, which is actually my favorite shift to work. However, I was so tired that it felt like those hours crept by. Omg. Painful.

On the upside to my whole day, I spent the evening with older people. They seriously have the most interesting stories to tell. We sat there as they told us for 2 hours about how the animals aren’t scared of humans and how squirrels throw nuts at your head. lol.

There was also a woman who is in AMAZING shape for being over 80 years old. She’s seen and heard it all and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to EVERY single word she was saying. I hung onto her every word like a little puppy does his new owner.

We really all need to take the time to listen to those who comes before us. They are a wealth of free information and they ALWAYS seem to say the ONE thing you needed to hear. :)
